Ludacris uses his latest track, “Charge It To The Rap Game,” to address a variety of issues he’s dealt with during his 16-year span as a rapper.

Throughout the track, which is produced by !LLMIND, Luda tackles “bogus contracts,” shady individuals, groupies and others.

“Take it back to one of my first tours/Fucking everything moving, thinking groupies would never do nothing back to us/Kick em’ out the hotel, swearing I hid my finer things/Lost a bunch of jewelry from a Rolex to a diamond chain. [Bitch] How the hell did I get caught slippin/Meanwhile, on all my records nigga talking about he pimpin’.”

Shortly after, Luda comments on “regular hoes” playing the “trap game.” He may be alluding to an incident that occurred in 2014, when news broke that theFast & Furious star had fathered a child with a woman, Tamika Fuller, while on break with his then-girlfriend/ current wife Eudoxie.

Luda allegedly offered Fuller a considerable amount of cash, a house and $900 to cover her abortion. He was awarded primary custody of the child in January 2015.

During the second verse of the song, Luda raps about taking revenge on magazines that misquote him.

“The false stories and being misquoted in magazines/Gotta nigga wanting to go and unload a couple magazines/Head to your office and shoot up the whole fucking staff/Post that on your website and burn, while I fuckin’ laugh”

Its unclear, at the moment, which publication the rapper was referring to. The next lyric addresses protestors picketing outside of his concerts.

In 2008, the Los Angeles Independent Media Center helped organize a protest outside of Ludacris’ show at Cal State Long Beach. At the time, the protesters held signs that read: “(562) No Hoe’s in this area code,” and “Women’s bodies are not Moneymakers.”
