Travi$ Scott is currently prepping his debut album Rodeo. To promote his upcoming project, he’s embarked on a nationwide “Rodeo” tour with Young Thug.

After performing in New York City at Webster Hall, Travi$ spoke to MTV about his upcoming album and how several Hip Hop veterans have been helping him shape it.

“I’m only working with a couple artists,” he tells MTV in a 19-minute visual interview. “I won’t put out my album, unless I have Kid Cudi on it. So, when you see me drop a date. You know I got Kid Cudi on it.”

La Flame says Cudi is part of his story and it’s only right that the two do a track together. “There would be no Travi$ Scott if it wasn’t for him,” he explains.

Another member of the Hip Hop community that Travi$ is close with is Puff Daddy. Travi$ called Puff “one of his “super close homies” and says he’s like a “super mentor” to him.

“He’s working on this album right now and he just knows this is the album that he just wants to walk away from and it’s so good,” Scott says of Puff’s project. “He’s really going in. It’s a really good album. This is that album, it’s like super fresh.”

Travi$ also praised Kanye West during the interview. He calls his other mentor a “creative genius” and expressed his excitement surrounding Kanye’s So Help Me God album.

“His new album is brazy,” Travi$ says. “‘All Day’ is nowhere near the hardest joint on there. I’m actually excited that ‘Ye is back on his shit. Goin’ brazy.”

“Of course, ‘Ye will be involved in my album,”he adds.
