Philadelphia-native and REVOLT Live co-host, DJ Damage, has announced that he is the new night show host on Los Angeles’ Real 92.3, which is owned by iHeartMedia.

In an exclusive conversation with HipHopDX, Damage explained that iHeart’s Senior Vice President of Urban Programming, Doc Wynters, first contacted him about the position in February.

“It happened actually super quickly,” Damage says. “When the station launched, about a week after the launch, I was talking to a few mentors that I have in the game. They were like, ‘You know, someone might be reaching out to you about this new station. Are you interested?’ I was like, ‘Absolutely. Of course.’ They were like, ‘We don’t know to what degree or whatever Doc wants you involved, but he’s gonna reach out to you. So make sure you keep that phone open.’”

While the show does not have an official title, Damage says that it will begin today (March 9) and primarily be music-focused. He also says that he will co-host the show with his former REVOLT Live co-host, Sibley.

“The angle is at first, of course they’re kicking off their 10 joints in a row or the chance to win $10,000,” he says. “They’re really pushing music right now. Of course it’s going to develop to be something really good. My co-host will actually be Sibley. You already know we’re gonna bring that vibe that we used to bring to REVOLT Live to radio—a lot of energy, a lot of fun, playful, youthfulness, charismatic. You know how we go. We turn up. It’s all in the plan, man. This is amazing.”

DJ Damage and Sibley will be on Los Angeles’ radio’s Real 92.3 FM every Monday through Friday from 7 PM to Midnight PST.
