Drake’s surprise album release has set a new Spotify record for the most streams from an album in its first week on the platform, according to Billboard. Spotify confirmed the news yesterday (February 17) and announced that songs fromIf You’re Reading This It’s Too Late were collectively streamed more than 17 million times in a three-day span.

According to Billboard, Drake’s last album, Nothing Was the Same, set a previous record for first-week album streams with nearly 16 million in its debut week.

In addition to the overall first-week streams record, a total of 6.8 million streams of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late on Saturday alone also set a new landmark for most streams in a single day for an album in the U.S.

Meanwhile, early estimates put Drake’s first week sales performance at around 500,000.
