Kanye West garnered attention by rushing the stage at the Grammys Sunday (February 8) while Beck was accepting his Grammy for Album Of The Year and because of a subsequent interview in which the Chicago rapper-producer said that Beyonce, not Beck, should have won the award.
50 Cent says that Beck deserved the award for his Morning Phase album over Beyonce self-titled effort.
“He produced the record, wrote the record,” 50 Cent says during an interview with People. “There’s 11 producers on Beyonce’s album. Kanye being a producer and a writer should see that. But we get jaded.”

While 50 Cent defended Beck’s artistic merit, others have dissed Kanye West’s commentary, which included him saying that that Beck “should have given his award to Beyoncé.”
Garbage singer Shirley Manson wrote Kanye West an open letter where she said he looked “small and petty and spoilt,” while Pink said that “Kanye West is the biggest piece of sh– on earth. Quote me.”
