Nearly six weeks into 2015, the only Hip Hop album in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 belongs to Nicki Minaj as she continues nursing her Pinkprint release with huge streaming numbers and a newly promoted single. Meanwhile, Kid Ink’s Full Speeddebuted at #11 this week with just under 30,000 albums sold. Ne-Yo’s latest fell more than ten spots after debuting at #5 last week while J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Driveis still on the decline, landing at #19 most recently despite consistent sale numbers.

Lower down the list, Missy Elliott reemerged in the Top 40 thanks to a surprise Super Bowl halftime show appearance a couple weeks ago and Skizzy Mars climbs to #35 in the first week of his Red Balloon Project’s availability.

Nicki Minaj Eyes Gold Record Milestone

Nicki Minaj will almost certainly pass the Gold record milestone next week after selling another 20,000 units of The Pinkprint most recently. Nicki’s third album has now tallied 487,013 sales since its release in early December. After slipping a couple spots two weeks ago, Pinkprint is again at #8 despite a 2% sales drop.
