Among the numerous films screened at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah this month was Fresh Dressed, a film that chronicles the history of Hip Hop and urban fashion.

Directed by Sacha Jenkins and co-produced by Queensbridge rapper Nas, the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24.

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jenkins spoke on what inspired him to create Fresh Dressed.

“I remember, growing up, how important it was how you dressed in a neighborhood where people didn’t have a lot,” Jenkins told the music magazine. “I wanted to look at the evolution of where hip-hop has gone.”

Nas was featured in the 2014 documentary, Time Is Illmatic, which made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Fresh Dressed’s final viewing at Sundance is tomorrow, January 31.
