Snoop Dogg is slated to hit the small screen in the coming months for a guest appearance on the new FOX series Empire.

According to Digital Spy, Snoop will play himself in the Hip Hop-themed TV show.

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to the small screen.

He’s appeared in series such as The Bernie Mac Show and Monk and he’s lent his voice for animated shows like The Pjs, Futurama and The Boondocks.

Last week, Empire‘s premiere garnered nearly 9.9 million viewers. Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard lead an all-star cast of fictional music industry power players.

Snoop is scheduled to appear in the eleventh episode of Empire, which will reportedly air in late February or early March.
