Continually pushing his name beyond music, 50 Cent has announced that he is set to take over the New York Daily News and the paper’s Confidenti@l column for a single day next week.

“Tables are turning on Tuesday at the New York Daily News, I’ll be choosing the content!” the rapper told Billboard. “Everyone better get ready.”

According to Billboard, 50 will help curate photos, write items himself, and attend a news meeting during his day at the publication.

The managing editor for the paper, Raakhee Mirchandani, told Billboard about the plans for the day. “He’s coming to work, and he’s going to be the man in charge,” he said. “We’re hoping for a little Chelsea Handler Skype or email action.”

The paper is set to accept fan questions for 50 Cent as the celebrity guest editor via a live web chat platform.

50 himself celebrated his single-day Editor spot with an Instagram post yesterday.
