Producer 9th Wonder serves as one of a number of artists to share their thoughts on the controversy surrounding Aussie musician, Iggy Azalea. While sharing his two cents on the matter, 9th criticized Hip Hop fans for not flexing their purchasing power when it comes to buying albums.
According to the North Carolina beatsmith, fans of Iggy buy her music while Hip Hop fans wait for an artist to become popular, or even unpopular, before they support.
From the days of Little Brother, until now, it’s the SAME song…niggas always say how REAL they are, until it’s time to BUY..

BUY. That word BUY is a serious word; 3 letters can CHANGE the course of music, in which..everybody is looking for a CHANGE… — 9th Wonder (@9thWonderMusic) December 23, 2014
Yet and still…Iggy is still the BANE. I don’t like her music. HOWEVER, I go find what I LIKE and buy that.

HER fans buy HER shit….period. YES…it’s cultural appropriation….well…COUNTERATTACK by BUYING some cultural shit…. — 9th Wonder (@9thWonderMusic) December 23, 2014
He then encouraged Hip Hop fans to “buy and support your artists to the end of the earth.”
Stop waiting for artists to be “COOL” or “UNCOOL” before you decide to form an opinion, or when somebody becomes “the talk”…

Quit being sheep ass niggas and make your favorite artist…”THE TALK”….buy and support your artists to the end of the earth…. — 9th Wonder (@9thWonderMusic) December 23, 2014
Although 9th revealed that he doesn’t listen to any of Iggy Azalea’s music, he did commend the pop star’s fans for supporting and buying her music. He then stated that that energy should be transferred to those complaining about Iggy’s popularity.
So to @IGGYAZALEA, your fans support your shit, at LEAST they BUY it! That energy & support needs to transfer to some of these complainers.
