A Greenwood, Mississippi artist who goes by the stagename Benny Hunna has found himself in a battle with restaurant franchise Benihana over the rights to trademark his name.
TMZ reports that Benny Hunna, real name Benny Hodges, is hoping to “to build an entertainment empire called Benny Hunna TV” and wants to trademark the name Benny Hunna in order to do so.
In response to Benny Hunna’s attempt to trademark his name, Benihana has requested that the U.S. Patent & Trademark office deny Hunna’s request. The restaurant franchise is reportedly concerned over any confusion the trademark might cause in the marketplace.
