Is Nicki Minaj the greatest female rapper of all time?

During the latest installment of Elliott Wilson‘s CRWN series, Nicki addressed her spot in Hip Hop in front of a crowd — filled with Barbz  —  at the Le Poisson Rouge in downtown, New York City.

“I am the greatest female rapper, and it’s humbling because the people make you that,” she declared. “I wanna let the Hip Hop culture know I take this serious.”

Nicki also added that she’s positive her skill will never be disputed. While Nick has rapped these claims before in her songs, she hasn’t been as vocal about her status off the mic.

Her third studio album, The Pinkprint, was released Monday (December 15). Each of her previous projects, Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded have reached no. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Although Nicki has collected a trophy room of awards, she still questions herself, at times.

“There’s a real thin line between genius and crazy,” she said. “Sometimes I’ll ask people, ‘What’s wrong with me?’”
