Rhyming for Burgers!?!?
According to Advertising Age magazines website, the two entities are looking to have Big Mac promoted through your favorite artists new songs by the summer. The marketing firm is reportedly already in discussions with a number of labels, artists and producers and may already have candidates lined up to spit their finest rhymes name dropping the Big Mac.
The artists that do jump in on this will receive anywhere from $1 to $5 every time the song is played on satellite or regular radio.
"The main thing is to allow the artists to do what they do best," Maven President Tony Rome told Ad Age. "We're letting them creatively bring to life the product in their song."
This is all in the grand scheme of things that is trying to make the McDonalds product culturally relevant to 18-34 year olds.
Although this is not particularly a new concept (Busta Rhymes Pass The Courvoisier) this could be a huge step for many companies looking for new ways to advertise their product.
