Mistah F.A.B. will host his 7th annual turkey and coat giveaway hosted by Dope Era Clothing, according to a press release

“The group is committed to making a difference in the lives of Oakland residents in need by providing hot meals as well as warm coats for the winter season,” the press release states. “A buffet dinner will be served at no cost to deserving families and individuals. The gathering will take place near Northside Supermarket on the corner of 45th and Market Street in North Oakland. In addition, frozen turkeys, non-perishable food items, care packages with home products/toiletries, coats, clothing and blankets will also be available to families in need.”

Mistah F.A.B. also organizes philanthropic efforts such as a backpack giveaway, holiday toys for joy and domestic violence support benefits.

The press releases explains the circumstances of Mistah F.A.B.’s Bay Area community.

“Statistics show, there are an estimated 5,304 homeless adults, accompanied by 2,079 children in Alameda County who are struggling to make ends meet and are often times unsure of where their next meal is coming from,” the release states. “By presenting the Annual Turkey and Coat Giveaway, Mistah F.A.B. hopes to make a difference in the lives of those who reside in the community he was raised in.”

Mistah F.A.B. made headlines earlier this year for an alleged altercation with DJ Mustard. F.A.B. clarified the situation on Twitter.

“Before we fall victim to another hip hop BEEF episode Hyped up by social media Lets allow level heads to prevail, build dialogue and speak,” he said.
