New Orleans, Louisiana-born singer Frank Ocean will have to wait a little longer to change his legal name. TMZ reports that the Odd Future crooner, real name Christopher Breaux, was hoping to change his legal name to “Frank Ocean.”

A judge recently denied Ocean the ability to change his legal name due to three driving tickets he received recently and a suspended license.

According to TMZ, the three tickets the singer received were for expired insurance, driving with his headlights off, and going 31 miles per hour over the speed limit.

Once Ocean cleans up his driving record he’ll be able to reapply for the name change.

Although Ocean has kept a relatively low profile over the past year, his father, Calvin Cooksey recently sued Russell Simmons for $142 million due to comments made about him in a story posted on Simmons’ Global Grind website.

“He wasn’t allowed to be a father to Frank because his ‘Money Grubbing mother’ moved, and hid the boy from him,” Cooksey’s lawsuit says, according to TMZ.
