Thanks to a phone call made by crooner August Alsina, Meek Mill had the opportunity to speak briefly to fans earlier this week.

According to XXLMag.com, Alsina made a phone call to the currently-incarcerated rapper and uploaded a small portion of the phone call to Instagram. Meek Mill, who was sentenced to three to six months in prison, gave a shout out to “everybody holding it down” and revealed that he and Alsina spoke on “how I gotta do it” when he’s released from prison.

“Ayo what’s up? It’s your boy Meek Milly right here. Me and August kicking it, talking this real young nigga shit. Talking about how I gotta do it when I get back down. One love to everybody holding it down,” Meek Mill said in the phone call.
