In a recent Twitter post, Theophilus London explained his position on sampling while discussing Kanye West and Leon Ware collaborations that he’s worked on.
“Instead of sampling Ye I got him in the same room and we created for a year! My fav monment was arranging the whole album on his JET. #Fly,” he said in one Twitter post.
“Instead of sampling Mr Leon Ware. I invited him to write and teach and grace me with authentic Vibes and stories,” he added in another post.
West appears on London’s “Can’t Stop,” a cut off the artist’s upcoming album, Vibes.
In other posts on Twitter about Vibes, London has expressed that there are no samples on the album.
