Boldy James says that he and Fashawn met one another at Alchemist’s studio years ago. However, the two really began working together after signing their deals with Nas’ Mass Appeal Records recently.

“I met Fashawn at Alchemist’s studio,” Boldy James says in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “Fashawn always been dope to me. Since I’ve been up on Fash he was dope. And it just, I’ve been doing music with him and then I got to knowing him a little better too, so I could understand his music more and I could see where he coming from. And he broke a lot down to me about his ethnicity, his ethnic background. All that, you know, just chopped it up with me about some real nigga shit. Just got to tell him a little more about who I am, and you could see why the music come up how it does when you get to know the artist a little better.”

The duo has worked on at least three songs, but that won’t be the last you’ll hear from them.
