Kid Cudi Says Lupe Fiasco's Swindling Fans With Personalized $500 Verses; Fiasco Responds
Lupe Fiasco calls Kid Cudi his competitor after Cudder questions what Lu' is doing with the money he makes off personalized verses.
Lupe Fiasco announced on August 20 that he would be personalizing verses for his fans for $500.
"I will personalize a 1 verse song for you. $500. You pick the instrumental, mood & subject. 1 physical copy which you must come pick up," the rapper said on Twitter.
Yesterday (August 21), Kid Cudi questioned this move.
"What are you doing with the money your making from this @LupeFiasco . Are u givin some of this money ur about to make to a charity orrrr??" Cudi said.
Lupe Fiasco and Cudi went on to exchange several messages following this, which can be seen below.
To my fans; I dont know about this Lupe $500 verse shit. U should support his album but this idea seems a bit sketch. Do what U want tho.— Scott Mescudi (@KidCudi) August 21, 2014
The "Cudder" Special...To my fans if any one of you buys a pair of @KidCudi Zanottis the personalized verse is FREE OF CHARGE!— Lupe Fiasco (@LupeFiasco) August 21, 2014
A custom verse is not to "Swindle" you as my competitors would have you believe. It's to give you total control over what you want to hear.— Lupe Fiasco (@LupeFiasco) August 21, 2014
