DMX, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Jhene Aiko, Onyx, Method Man and Redman are among the artists set to perform at Def Jam Recordings’ 30th Anniversary Concert. The event is scheduled to take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on October 16. 

“I’m very excited to be a part of such a special announcement—Def Jam Recordings 30th Anniversary Concert at the iconic Barclays Center—which solidifies and continues the enduring mark the brand has made on pop culture,” Steve Bartels, CEO of Def Jam Recordings, said in a press release. “As the birthplace of Hip Hop, there is no better place to celebrate such a cultural touchstone than in New York City itself.”

Def Jam Recordings was launched in 1984 by Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin in the latter’s New York University dorm room. The imprint’s roster soon included LL Cool J, Public Enemy and Slick Rick, among others.

Tickets for Def Jam Recordings’ 30th Anniversary Concert are slated to go on sale 10 am EST August 22 on Ticketmaster
