Rick Ross Details Views On The Right To Bear Arms
Rick Ross also says his team is mostly made up of powerful women.
Rick Ross, who has rapped about guns in his music, was recently asked what he thinks about the right to bear arms in this country.
"I support the right to bear arms," Ross says in an interview with Huffington Post. "I do. I’m a licensed carrier. But, when I go into public places, when I go out and I enter certain places, I believe it’s best to leave your firearm in your vehicle."
During the interview, Ross also speaks about his respect for women, something that was questioned when he rapped about putting molly in a woman's glass without her knowing.
"I'm surrounded by powerful women at all times," Ross says. "That's the majority of my team. It's made up of women."
Last year, Ross spoke about his lyrics, women and his line about molly on Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O.," where he says, "Put molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it / I took her home and enjoyed that and she ain't even know it."
"I want to make sure this is clear," Ross said at the time. "Woman is the most precious gift known to man, you understand? It was a misunderstanding with a lyric, a misinterpretation where the term rape wasn't used. I would never use the word rape in my records."
