T.I. Addresses Ghostwriting For Iggy Azalea

T.I. speaks on his evolution as a person and as an artist.

Atlanta rapper T.I. swiftly shot down rumors that he’s ghostwritten for fellow artist Iggy Azalea, during a newly-published interview with Bijou Star TV. He informed those watching that Iggy has her “own ideas and thoughts” and added that when an artist is in the studio those present may assist with hooks or certain components of a song.

“I mean, I ain’t no ghostwriter,” T.I. said. “Iggy got her own ideas and thoughts that she presents to the world her own way. I couldn’t write a lot of the shit she say, you know? I couldn’t put her thoughts into words as articulate as she does. You know what I’m saying? She just has a different way of presenting herself and her art. So, I mean—Now don’t get me wrong, everybody in the studio helps with hooks and certain things like that. That goes for me and any of the other top five rappers, performers…You want the best ideas.”

Most recently, Iggy was featured on T.I.’s newly-released record, “No Mediocre.” And during an interview earlier this month on Power 106’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the Grand Hustle helmsman recalled observing the Australian rapper’s star potential early on in her career.

"I knew that with the proper planning and execution the sky was the limit for her," he said. "She has a killer instinct, kind of like a 'if you like me or not I'm going to make it' so you can see it now or kick yourself in the ass later. That's called star shit, that's superstar shit.”

Prior to speaking on Iggy Azalea, T.I. commented on his evolution as an artist. He revealed that growing as a person has in turn changed him as an artist.

“Really, I just want to continue to evolve as an artist and re-present myself,” the Southern wordsmith said. “Let people find new things to learn and like about T.I...You gotta grow as a person. An artist is just an extension of you as a person. So, as a person you must grow. So, as an artist it’s inevitable.”

Iggy Azelea is by far the most over-hyped artist ever. The bitch's flow is trash, she can't make a song without a feature, this talentless thot will be gone soon once people realize her music is complete garbage.

Yeah these allegations are mostly juvenile sexism and ignorance. Almost every big female rapper has had to deal with this shit, and Im guilty for the assumptions and allegations too. But its stupid: unlike most sports, the physicality of gender has little to do with ones ability to rap. What about being a woman means they need someone else to write for them? Perhaps this is because Roxanne Shante had other members of Juice Crew write for her, but this is a double standard because BDK used to write for Biz Markie. What T.I. said about the studio and collaborative creation is understandable seeing as emcees surround themselves w/ crews and entourages. In fact, the emcee is more the voice of their crew than just that of their own. Also, there are stylistic influences.

nigga you sound like a bitch spitting typical liberal rhetoric. "Where women rule streams run uphill" if you can't see feminism is the downfall of society then I can't really reach you inside that lil bubble you stuck yourself inside of mentally and spiritually.

they paid black women to take a check for kicking their man out the house. black people used to own their own universities and wear suits as proud business owners. now they're a failed people. black people are 35 years ahead of the downfall that is shortly coming to whites. they take away the male of the household so that the government and law enforcement becomes daddy. that's why if you really love your man and he beats you, you will not call the cops unless you are ready to leave him entirely.

but child support isnt really leaving him now is it?

I really believe this is a lie...some of her songs sound much too much like TI. Assisting with lyrics or ideas is one thing. Having someone have your exact flow and cadence is another. I believe he wrote/writes for her. May not every song, but the ones he had his hand in are evident.

OoOoOoO Rap music officially belongs to white peoples as far as thee mainstream is concerned, its time to come up with some new sh1t and let them catch up to that while they go head and do Rap music like they did Rock music ya feel me or... UmmmmmHmmmmm......... Look how Julia Greenwald threw multiple white bitches on T.I. Albums/Singles (and B.O.Bs) to desensitize the public untill they officially found a white bitch to infiltrate the matrix.....salute Sarah Stennett on the vision...it takes a village I guess/gather. TIP is just a pawn, sure he gets his publishin frum Exec' producin her album but he is nuthin more than another negro co-sign being used to legitimize a white artist ala Dre & Em. BruthaDee Thank about this: you an go from Elvis to Eminem to Adele to Azalea but the fact remains that whites love nothing more than seeing a reflection of themselves mimicking Black music. $$$ $$$ Here we are in 2014 and according to Hits Daily Double the only rap album in the Top 50 in sales is a Caucasian gal from the continent of Australia....imagine that... ....wonder of HHDX will do their HipHop sales article ------- Yup ;) (unbelievable) Sooooooooo lets not act like this is a surprise or a shock its the nature of the game. . Wellz at least Big K.R.I.T has gave us a lil bit a hope with the apocalypse of the culture on the horizon. Peace in the Middle East
