Kanye West, Meek Mill Albums & Chief Keef, Lil Durk Friction Addressed By Young Chop
Young Chop calls Kanye West collaboration a "super hit," details Meek Mill collaborations and says Chief Keef and Lil Durk have friction.
"On some real shit, I can’t even tell you," Chop says in an interview with XXL. "Like, I don’t even be paying that shit any attention, because once I see it I’m going to call them directly. I did call him after that like, 'Why the fuck are you tweaking?' You feel me? That was somewhat disrespectful. I don’t care what you and Durk got going on, because it's kind of friction with them two. I don’t know what the fuck it is. Everybody don’t know what the fuck it, is but them two.
"Niggas really grew up with each other," Chop adds. "Everybody in 300, we family in real life and I’m just not getting it. But it ain’t going to come to a point where niggas get beat up. It will never come to that point."
Chop was also asked if Keef revealed why he retweeted the track.
"Naw, he never said nothing," he says. "I still don’t know to this day why he retweeted that. But the Game and Durk thing is squashed and let God be with them. Shit, we moving on. I’m not trying be in no bullshit. We getting money. Why we got to bring that into the industry? It's bullshit. Bad enough we losing family members out here in the real; we living in the real."
Durk responded by saying that Chief Keef disrespected Chicago by siding with Game. For more on the Durk, Keef feud, view the DX Daily below.
Young Chop Calls Upcoming Kanye West Collaboration "Super Hit"
Young Chop has been working with Kanye West and the producer says the two have a hit on their hands.
"Matter of fact, I do got some shit on 'Ye's album," he says. "That song that we have is a hit. I’m talking about a super hit. Crazy shit...I just heard a snippet and what I heard, it was a hit. I can’t describe it. It was on some other shit."
Chop, who once called Yeezus misunderstood, also provided perspective on Kanye West in the studio.
"He like a talented-ass nigga," Chop says. "He knows what the fuck he needs. He know what he wants. I work with a lot of niggas. He’s one of the most creative niggas I ever worked with. He was in on every session, just really coaching niggas on how to make shit sound great. That’s what I learned. When you hear my new shit, all that shit I learnt from 'Ye. Diddy too. Just really perfecting this shit. It don’t really be that hard to it, just be like some simple shit to make it really bigger than what it is. I was just sitting back studying them. Like I was around No I.D. studying too. I’ve been in this shit, I’ve been studying. That’s why I kept coming with stuff. But my new shit, it's over."
Young Chop Discusses Meek Mill Collaborations
That's not the only work Chop has coming up.
"Meek [Mill]'s shit dope," Chop says. "He was playing me a couple of records off it when we was in L.A. a couple weekends ago for the BET Awards. That shit was dope. I think I got one or two [records] on there, I’m not sure. They didn’t hit me back yet. But I know for sure I’m going to be on there."
