HipHopDX Revisits Kanye West’s “Dreams Of Fucking Lil Kim”

Fans of Chicago rapper Kanye West were treated to some vintage ‘Ye this week thanks to HipHopDX’s most recent Throwback Thursday selection, “Dreams Of Fucking Lil Kim.” In addition to name dropping the Queen Bee and proclaiming that “I don’t like fake titties but I’ll fuck Lil Kim,” Kanye goes on to mention Nas, Eve, Foxy Brown, AZ, and Brooklyn producer D-Dot on the vintage cut.

In regards to new music from the G.O.O.D. Music lyricist, few details have been revealed in regards to Kanye’s Yeezus follow-up. Although specifics remain scarce, Billboard.com did manage to obtain a few details about the album from a source who has reportedly heard half of the project. According to their source, the album will include 12 songs that are “mostly a mixture of soul samples and tamed Yeezus-esque darkness.” They added that there is “nothing abrasive” about the LP.

Jeezy & Jay Z Team Up For “Seen It All”

After collaborating on The Blueprint 3 track “Real As It Gets” and Jeezy’s “I Do” and “Go Crazy,” Jay Z and Jeezy have teamed up once again for “Seen It All.” The Cardo-produced record serves as the title track on Jeezy’s fifth studio album, Seen It All, which is scheduled for release on September 2.

While writing his verse for the song, Jay Z was brought to tears due to the weight of it, according to Jeezy.

“[Jay] was like, ‘Yo, Jeezy, when I was writing the verse, I had tears in my eyes, man,’ because it took him so far back to Marcy,” Jeezy said during a recent interview with MTV. “It’s the same thing with me. Every bar in that song was real. I put my hand on the Bible. I told myself when I wrote that record. Everything in this song gotta be true to me…He did the same thing.”

Freddie Gibbs Joins Odd Future On “Loiter Squad”

Gary, Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs tapped into his funny side this week during an appearance on the sketch comedy show, “Loiter Squad.” Titled “Storage War$,” the “Loiter Squad” clip poked fun of the A&E series “Storage Wars” and featured appearances from Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, and Gibbs, who quite literally lives up to his Gangsta Gibbs nickname.
