Mike Tyson Details Tupac Friendship, Fondest Memory

Mike Tyson also discusses his favorite memory with Tupac Shakur.

During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session with Reddit users, Mike Tyson was asked about his friendship with Tupac.

"He was a really good guy," Tyson said, "really nice guy, really close good friend of mine. Favorite memory was when I saw him in a club and he got on the mic and really took over the party. He was 19 years old then."

Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas, Nevada, while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle. He passed away on September 13, 1996. He was 25. Shakur was in town to see a Mike Tyson fight that weekend.

Tyson and Tupac were featured on One Night In Vegasan ESPN documentary chronicling the friendship between the rapper and boxer, as well as the events of the night Tupac was shot. A clip from the film is below.

Recently, the Central Intelligence Agency Tweeted about Tupac's location.

"No, we don’t know where Tupac is. #twitterversary,” the CIA tweeted.
