Drake has cancelled his performance as a headliner at Wireless Festival in London and Birmingham this weekend.

“To my beloved fans, it truly breaks my heart that I won’t be able to perform as planned at Wireless and Roskilde this weekend,” Drake says in a statement on the Wireless Festival website. “I got sick a few days ago and although I am on my way to bouncing back, my doctors have made it clear that I am not physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect and deserve from me. I will be focused on resting for a quick recovery. I have the best fans in the world and I can’t wait to come back to make more incredible memories together.”

Live Nation has reportedly confirmed that Kanye West is set to perform Saturday July 5 in London for a second day in a row. Meanwhile, Rudimental will play an extended set for Birmingham fans.

Ticket holders are also set to receive £20 of ‘Wireless Credit’ when they enter the venue. This is set to be redeemable anywhere at the festival.

Refunds are set to be available, though they won’t be available at the event.
