An alleged rivalry between Rap groups Migos and 2G has led to the murder of Paris Brown, a fan of the Migos, according to statements made by police in a WSB-TV 2 article.

Police says that Migos member Kiara Cephus was the intended target of a June 11 shooting outside a Quality Inn that led to Brown’s death.

“[Brown] was just a supporter of the Rap group Migos and essentially caught a stray bullet,” Cpl. Deon Washington said in the WSB-TV 2 story.

Police have identified Cory Marzette as a suspect in the murder case. Marzette is an affiliate of 2G and police believe 2G is behind the murder.

Washington said he questioned Cephus about the murder, but that Cephus was not helpful.

“We know he was there,” Washington said. “However he would not cooperate with the police investigation.”
