Akon’s Manager Shot to Death
On December 15th another senseless death plagued the hip-hop community when Robert Screw Montanez was gunned down outside of a New Jersey bar after attempting to prevent a man from robbing Capone of Capone-N-Noreaga of his jewelry.
Montanez was with Akon and Capone at the Ringside Bar taping a promotion featuring Capone when the robber came after Capone. While the group reportedly was gathering to take pictures a man approached Capone and attempted to take his chain. A fight broke out which led to an altercation between Montanez and the man. After scuffling, the man shot Montanez twice in the chest and fired carelessly into the crowd.
Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance tapes looking for clues that will lead to the capture of the shooter. A $20,000 reward is offered to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest of Montanez murderer.
