Nicki Minaj Says Drake Has Submitted Two Songs For "The Pink Print"

Nicki Minaj offers an update on a possible collab with Drake on "The Pink Print," says people can relate to "Pills N Potions."

Young Money rapstress Nicki Minaj has begun to share more details about her upcoming album, The Pink Print. While phoning in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest earlier this week, Nicki shed some light on a possible collaboration that may appear on her third studio album.

During her appearance on the radio show, Nicki was asked if fellow Young Money artist Drake would appear on the album. She revealed that Drake has submitted two tracks, but at this moment they’re still discussing and making changes to the songs and are unsure if either of the two will make the final cut.

“You know what? So far he’s sent me two joints already for the album,” Nicki Minaj said. “And we’re still discussing them and still making some changes, but I don’t have an official Drake song yet. So, I can’t say that Drake will be on my album because I never want to just say stuff until it’s official. You know what I mean?”

Nicki also discussed her newly-released The Pink Print single, “Pills N Potions.” According to the Queens lyricist, the song touches on a variety of relationships and the people who come in and out of one’s life.

“I feel like it’s kind of like a tragic love story,” she said. “And it doesn’t even necessarily have to be like a boy and girl relationship. I just kinda feel like while I was working on the album I started realizing how much I’ve changed. How people change. And how people come in and out of your life and I just felt like talking about that. I had never really discussed that…I love that it has the [last] feeling of no matter what I still love. There’s still love there. And that’s pretty much what the song means to me. I think so many people can relate to that.”

An exact release date for The Pink Print has yet to be revealed and according to Nicki, it’s one aspect of her album she has no plans on rushing.

“Nowadays, in this era, people want things so quickly,” said the rapper earlier this month. “We don’t even absorb anything. We’re never in the moment, ever. We’re always in the future. So, I don’t want them to think about the release date. I want them thinking about the music."
