Atlanta, Georgia native Ludacris hasn't dropped an album in four years but is set to release his next effort this year. Ludaversal, his ninth studio album, is now supposedly almost finished according to a recent interview Luda did with Billboard.
“It is almost done, we’re about 90 percent done,” Ludacris told the magazine. “You’ll probably hear some singles, the first one around June or July.”
Ludacris also said he's excited to release his next effort as music hasn't been completely off the front burner these last few years.
“This is one of the things that I live for," he said. "It pumps adrenaline and so much through my body. This is what music does to people. I’m just happy to be a part of the ride.”
Ludacris' last album drop was 2010's Battle of the Sexes. Perhaps most of his time has been occupied by the film industry as he's been in six movies since his last album release, including Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6 and the upcoming Fast & Furious 7.
