Denny's Tweets 50 Cent "In Da Club" Lyrics
Denny's tweets a message that incorporates lyrics from 50 Cent's "In Da Club."
The Denny’s restaurant chain sent a tweet yesterday (April 24) that was inspired by lyrics from 50 Cent’s 2003 single, “In Da Club.”
"And if they hate then let 'em hate and watch the pancakes pile up,” Denny’s tweeted.
On “In Da Club,” 50 Cent raps, "And if they hate, then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up.”
The diner sells pancakes, among other things.
Kanye West also used the same 50 Cent lyrics on his 2007 single "Good Life."
Earlier this month, 50 Cent discussed Troy Ave using "In Da Club" on his "Show Me Love" song, which appeared on the rapper’s New York City: The Album.
"That was cool, but I hear me on the record at the same time,” 50 Cent said at the time. “So, I’m like ‘Oh, alright.’ But that’s [him] getting into the groove…This was a mixtape. So, to take something that you thought was cool and melodies off of and go ahead and do it it’s cool to do that. We rewrite verses. The artist that did it the first time really worked. Or really that creative energy came from them. And we doing it over a new way with new lines. And you be like ‘He killed it.’ But it still wasn’t his from the very beginning.”
