Wu-Tang affilate Supreme I-Self, who was in the Yellow Jackets collective with Andre Johnson, says the rapper, who also goes by Christ Bearer, is feeling blessed despite recently severing his penis and falling off a second story balcony in an apparent suicide attempt

“I came out to go check on him,” Supreme says in an interview with TMZ. “When we got to the hospital, he had discharged, but what was posted and what he imparted to the people was that he was feeling blessed. He said ‘Peace.’ We’ll just leave it at that right now.”

When asked if there was anything “wrong” with Christ Bearer, Supreme said he did not know. When asked about drugs, Supreme spoke about his experience with Christ Bearer.

“I’ve never seen him abuse any substances outside of what any of us may use, which is alcohol, cigarettes, trees, herb,” Supreme says. “You know, we medicate. It’s legal. I can’t speak on anything outside of that.”

Supreme, who says he booked a flight to Los Angeles from Las Vegas, Nevada as soon as he heard the news regarding Johnson, also says it’s “time to let the brother heal.”

RZA addressed Christ Bearer’s recent news, as reported today (April 18).

“Christ Bearer is a tragic story because it’s still the same situation: a guy we gave a chance to,” RZA said. “If I remember that deal back in the day, I remember they signed for, like, $150,000, a record deal from some young guys from Long Beach, Cali. He had a partner named Meko. I liked those guys. I liked what they stood for, young guys trying. I can’t wait to really hear the whole story. It’s sad that it’s Wu-Tang affiliated. It’s like dirty press in a way. I want to know what the fuck moved him to do those things.”
