Jay Z goes at Drake and 50 Cent discusses their potential beef and wins in court.

Jay Z and 50 Cent were involved in the Top 3 stories of the week. Jay Z blasted Drake on Jay Electronica’s “We Made It." 50 Cent discussed what the track may lead to. He also won a court ruling.

Jay Z Addresses Drake On Jay Electronica’s “We Made It”

On Sunday (March 23), Jay Z responded to Drake's recent Rolling Stone comments about his use art references in his lyrics on his verse on Jay Electronica's "We Made It." 

"Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk," Jay Z raps on the track. "Silly me, rappin' 'bout shit that I really bought / While these rappers rap about guns that they ain't shot / And a bunch of other silly shit that they ain't got." 

Jay Z's "Drizzy" reference likely stems from Drake's Rolling Stone interview in February. In the article, Drake criticizes Jay Z's references to art. 

"It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references," Drake says in the article. "I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”

50 Cent Says Jay Z & Drake Beef “Just Getting Started”

50 Cent says that Jay Z and Drake’s potential rivalry, which was potentially heightened Sunday (March 23) when Jay Z addressed Drake's recent Rolling Stone comments about art references on his verse on Jay Electronica's "We Made It,” may be in the early stages.

“I think it’s just getting started because we didn’t actually hear any verses or rap from Drake,” 50 Cent said on theRuss Parr Morning Show this week. "But you know what? It’s interesting. I think you’re supposed to rap about things that are in your actual life. But those are laws that were a part of our culture when I actually came in and fell in love with it. But it’s old school.”

50 Cent Wins Ruling Against Worldstarhiphop.com 

50 Cent was granted a summary judgment on copyright and right of publicity claims by a federal judge Monday (March 24), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

50 Cent filed a lawsuit in 2009 against WorldStarHipHop.com because three of the website’s mastheads featured images of the Queens, New York rapper. The first masthead was displayed from 2005 until mid-2006, according to court documents. The second ran from mid-2006 until April 2007, while the third appeared from approximately January 2008 through March 2009.
