Mobb Deep Break-up Rumors True?
The alleged rift between Mobb Deep, Littles and Alchemist that may have broken up the group may be just a rumor after all. Some close to the crew have speculated that an incident occurred between the artists stemming over song instrumentals that were supposedly sold twice, consequently dividing the group. Alchemist, who regularly produces for the group, shot down the rumors.
But Littles, the former manager of the group, claims that there is another aspect to the story. In addition to his managerial duties, Littles says he was also Senior Vice President of Infamous Records, once Mobb Deep terminated their management with Chris Lighty, owner of Violator. Littles stated
"Things started falling a part because of [Havoc and Prodigy]. They get on stage, one is on one end, one is on the other [end]. They split up the label, that's why I am gone. I can't pick sides, so I gotta step back and do myself."
But Chris Lighty denied the allegations and says that the group is still together according to Havoc. Well keep you posted as this story progresses.
