Lil Boosie

UPDATE: Lil Boosie is scheduled to appear in his first press conference following his release from prison in a live streamed event on BoosieSpeaks.com.

Lil Boosie's first post-prison press conference is set to air live March 10 via BoosieSpeaks.com, according to HotNewHipHop.

On March 5, when Boosie was released from prison, NOLA published a report saying Lil Boosie would partake in a March 10 press conference. The rapper, who was incarcerated due to drug charges included an Atlantic Records logo in the invitation.

"He will absolutely be there," an Atlantic Records representative said in the NOLA report. "He'll be speaking to the press for the first time ... after his release."

Despite the logo being included in the press conference invitations, the Atlantic Records rep would not confirm or deny Boosie's signing to the label.

"(Lil Boosie) is actually going to be clearing all that stuff up for everybody there, so I'm going to let him relay that information," the representative said, as per NOLA.

The promotional image for the press conference is below.

"@"trill281: Yall niggaz need to find another hobby, than just hatin on niggaz, if you aint a fan dont bunp his shit, if you are good for you, the young nigga makin money, cant hate on that!" I don't hate Bad Azz I just don't like how our people are acting like Boosie is some type of hero just because he beat a murder beef, I bump a few of his songs but I would never listen to one of his albums front to back because the nigga sound like Trina. ....and SO WHAT if he makin money, I can sell Heroin to dope fiends but it dont make me a hero and getting out the cage don't make a nigga a hero either.

I'm glad he got out.. Jail sucks but I don't get what the hoopla is about him right now.. He wasn't exactly selling platinum albums before he went to jail nor was he even that popular.. Especially in Houston..

most of yall came on here simply to hate. smh boosie's old music is better than 85% of the crap put out today and yall cant "get past his voice." Eminem, one of the GOAT's if not the greatest, has one of the most annoying voices of all time but ppl love him and he doesn't rap about shit half the time. But let boosie rap about real shit, nobody cares. I dont get it lol.

"boosie's old music is better than 85% of the crap put out today and yall cant "get past his voice."" thanks for the laughs. are we supposed to just listen to his high pitched screachy ass voice because of how real he is despite how bad he sounds?

Correct my man!!! We need to push more positive shit. Good luck to him though but he should use his freedom to promote keeping the young ones away from the pen.

Yo, blame his retarded fans for this. We got nothing to do with it; we're just delivering the news. They have this strange fixation for this nigga that we, the writers at HipHopDX, can't comprehend.

  • JASON WEAVER, THE DUDE FROM SMART GUY AND CHINGY'S HIT ONE CALL AWAY, MAKES AN INTERESTING POINT
Ok so. I see a lot ppl on IG posting stuff about Lil Boosie gettin out of prison, talmbout Welcome Home Boosie Back and all kinds of other c**n shit. Listen man, no disrespect to Boosie or anyone else for that matter who has ever been incarcerated, but the problem I have with the IG posts regarding him gettin out is its being displayed like its some kind of thing to celebrate. Im sorry man, but why cant we celebrate young black men who have stayed OUT of prison? Im not judging Boosie or any other individual who may have faced similar circumstances. It would sure be cool though if we posted more pics of our young brothas receiving high school diplomas, college degrees, and cool shit like that instead of a playa gettin out of prison mane. Im about celebrating milestones in young black mens lives that we can REALLY be proud of! Like for real Cmon son!! Sorry for the rant, but I just had to say it.#KanyeShrug

This is an embarrassment. Anyone who is entertained by this is a fool.
    • Brother Peace
That he was a millionaire before the age of 21 and still is a millionaire? That he isn't in jail for failure to pay child support? That his mother is a retired principal? That he's not afraid to speak in public on views on life?
    • Anonymous
...that his child daughter says and I quote "I TOLD YA'LL NIGGAS, I TOLD YA'LL NIGGAS BOOSIE(NOT DADDY BTW) COMIN' HOME, I TOLD YA'LL". DIS AINT CUTE, DIS HOOD FABOLOUS HOGWASH.
    • Anonymous
that video of his daughter was pretty sad so many damn kids his homie ran one over backing out his driveway!

America loves her criminals, Columbus, Jesse James, Dillinger, Capone, Gotti, and Boosie, you gotta love how the industry will market his incarceration and sell it as "Real-ni88erism" to average citizens.
    • Anonymous
"Average" describes you. The wallflower in you doesn't allow you to follow and achieve your dreams.
    • Anonymous
America loves cops and C.O.'s too.
    • Anonymous
Dreams are easy enough to achieve with prayer, patience and preserverance but maybe you misunderstood: when I say "average citizens" I'm talking about everyday people who dont get charged with murders and beat their case, average people with non-celebrity jobs living paycheck to paycheck. I like Boosies personality and some of his songs but its disturbing seeing our people cheering over his release from prison more than cheering for Diddy copping a network.

"to some of you repliers- sorry you are nerds who can't understand that some music is for actual real human beings. everyone doesn't sit in their room all day and try to make themselves feel better than other people by knowing "real" hip hop or some other nerdy shit." Boosie represents the underclass and I respect his hustle and hardwork but his music will never cross over or be embraced by the other side. I get tired of elitist HipHoppers with their bi-focals and dyed-blonde hair trying to act like "real" HipHop has to be some super lyrical linguistical display of words. Boosie raps in the language and flavor of the streets because thats a large chunk of his audience and the perspective he communicates from so I hope the nerds can continue their criticism of him so we can feel assured that they wont jump on his bandwagon and force us off.
    • Chuckie
      you're a fag
    • Rappers aren't scholars lol
I still haven't heard a so called "back pack", "east coast lyrical" or "non southern accent having" spit a thesis or earn a Phd.

Did Bun say we waited years for Mandela then Bossie? You can't even compare the two. I'm a fan on Bun but really man? We got to do better black people.
    • Anonymous
Both men were falsely imprisoned and dealt with strong racism.
    • Anonymous
boosie was falsely imprisononed now? like he ain't have a record a mile long? like he wasn't out here ordered hits?
    • A
Completely agree. That surprised me Bun would say something like that. He is usually a very wise man.
