CyHi The Prynce Says He Has A

CyHi The Prynce says he's got a few projects coming before next winter including his next album.

G.O.O.D. Music had a much talked about year in 2013. One of their artists, CyHi The Prynce was one of the least talked about members of the group but has been recently creating noise with the release of his latest mixtape, Black Hystori Project.

In a recent interview with In Flex We Trust, the Stone Mountain, Georgia native said his latest effort was only the start of things to come, and has a few other project drops coming before 2015.

"Yeah we got a lot of things in the works, I got a couple projects before the winter," CyHi said when asked about projects he's working on. "I’m looking to put out an album in the winter, so were just gathering all our information on what we wanna do and and how we wanna do it and what artist and producers we wanna work with so you’ll be hearing a lot from me this year and years to come the take over is here."

CyHi talked about his recent mixtape drop and some of the themes he was going with on the project.

"Really I just want to show you, It’s like the leadership," he said. "I just don’t be rapping because the words rhyme or I want to get bitches or because I wanna get a bunch of money. I’m not a weekend rapper. Those are the Friday through Saturday rappers. I’m more like Sunday through Thursday, you know when your living the real life. I like to rap about real things and inspire people to be great, you know? I like to take certain characteristics of a few of individuals that are on the album. Other than that I just wanted to make a powerful impact full album that was straight forward and in your face and being able to take my career to the next level."

CyHi The Prynce was asked at the end of the interview to name his top five best best rappers out right now. He replied with a list, which included himself.

"[Laughs] That’s a difficult one. I mean I feel like in this generation it would be Kanye, Drake, Kendrick [Lamar], [J. Cole] and CyHi. That would be the top five."

HipHopDX reviewed CyHi's Black Hystori Project. It received a 4X's out of 5. Edwin Ortiz called it a "well thought-out piece of work that marks a distinctive change in CyHi The Prynce's creative outlook"–a statement similar to the one made above by CyHi himself.
