Kendrick Lamar & Jay Z Among 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards Nominees

Kanye West, Drake, Pharrell and Beyonce are also among the mtvU Woodie Awards nominees.

The 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards nominees were announced today (February 12). Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Kanye West, Pharrell and Beyonce are among the year's nominees. 

Kanye West and Drake are in the running for the "Woodie of the Year" nominees. Chance the Rapper and Iggy Azalea are among the "Best Video Woodie" nominees. Kanye West and Beyonce are up for this year's "Did It My Way Woodie" award and Jay Z and Tyler, the Creator are nominated for the "Performing Woodie" prize. 

Several rappers also appear in the "Best Collaboration Woodie" category. A$AP Rocky and Skrillex's "Wild For the Night"Avicii and Aloe Blacc's "Wake Me Up"; Just Blaze, Baauer and Jay Z's "Higher"; Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons"Radioactive (remix)"; Daft Punk and Pharrell's "Get Lucky"; and James Blake and Chance the Rapper's "Life Round Here" all earned nominations in this category.
