Azealia Banks said today (January 30) that she feels she is the best woman in Hip Hop. Banks’ Twitter post also reveals how she feels regarding women in Rap and how she believes she separates herself from others in the genre.
“I’m the best female in hip-hop. Sorry, not sorry. I’m better than most of you niggas too. Real Talk,” Banks said in a Twitter update.
She further emphasized her belief in her ability to stand apart from other women in the culture.

“I’m the only new female rapper with her own voice. All the other girls are doing the post-nicki minaj thing,” she added in a separate Twitter update.
Banks recently made headlines when she begged her label, Universal, to drop her.
“I REALLY should have signed with Sony,” Banks said in a Twitter update. “I would literally give anything to be on XL right now…I’m tired of having to consult a group of old white guys about my black girl craft. they don’t even know what they’re listening for or to…I’m literally begging to be dropped from Universal…Universal needs to just hand me over to another label who knows what to do with me.”
