Young Buck Addresses G-Unit Reunion & Praises Kendrick Lamar

Young Buck also says that he hasn't spoken with 50 Cent in years and is preparing a new mixtape.

Young Buck called into DJ Whoo Kid’s radio show in order to address a potential G-Unit reconciliation.

"This is not a G-Unit reunion,” Young Buck said on DJ Whoo Kid’s radio show on Shade 45. “This is not me signing with G-Unit or nothing like that, it's just a real situation. Real dudes just doing real things. I haven't even spoke with 50 in years. Like I say man, I wish them all the best, you know what I'm saying. I don't got no ill will with me, or none of that shit with me. I was taught from the very beginning, you can forgive but don't forget. So, any individual that had any kind of negativity that came with them or done anything dealing with Buck that was taken as a negative way, I forgive them but I don't forget."

Young Buck says that many of his old Rap friends forgot about him while he was incarcerated. Nonetheless, a few rappers reached out to him while he was behind bars.

”I spoke to 2 Chainz a lot,” he says. “That's my brother. I got a lot of respect 2 Chainz, man. He always checked in and made sure I was 100. Of course Drumma Boy, man, that's my brother from another mother. For the most part, those were the main two guys. I didn't really hear from nobody. I used to be tuned in when some of these muthafuckas would come across 106 & Park, like, ‘God Damn it I know this nigga don't be hollering out, “Free Buck” or anything...I don't know if they forgot about me or if I wasn't on they mind at the time, but I just didn't get that call from a lot of rappers."

Young Buck cited two rappers from his past that he would like to resume working with."I've always thought of calling [Dr.] Dre and thought of calling Em[inem], but let me tell you something, man: these guys are at the top of the muthafuckin’ food chain and I'm at the bottom of the food chain, especially in prison. Keeping in touch with these dudes is damn-near impossible when you out of prison, in the streets. Dre to me is the best producer in the world and Eminem to me is one of the best lyricists that's ever done this shit. I got the upmost respect for both of those dudes and even today I'm open to have a conversation with either one of them. I definitely want to speak with Dre…I have a lot of respect for him. He's been there for me throughout my situation, as far as the bullshit. When it went down, he showed me everything was a hundred, like a boss do.”

Young Buck said he was impressed with Dr. Dre’s latest protege. "I listened to Kendrick Lamar's album daily in the penitentiary,” Young Buck said. “I'm a fan of Kendrick  Lamar. I think he's a real dude. I think he's bringing that real shit to the game for us, from a lyrical side. He's not just focused on one type of thing, you know, Kendrick will bounce from here, and bounce from there and bounce over here, but at the same time remain being who Kendrick is. That's what you don't get out of a lot of artists. A lot of artists that want to be this, or be that, nah, Kendrick is being himself and he a real nigga...And at some point in time I would want to work with Kendrick because, I got a lot of respect for his music and shit."

Young Buck says he has a new project in the works. "I'm basically putting together a quick mixtape,” he says. “I don't even call my shit mixtapes. I'm calling the project that I'm doing with all these different remixes on all these dudes shit the Bricktape. And I'm going to release it here within the next couple weeks. So if you missed out on whatever remixes, or you ain't catching the remixes that I got out there, you'll be able to go and download the Bricktape real quick.”

What G-unit song was Game on again?

"If 2 chains wack ass can make a come back after being completely useless, a platinum selling artist with a real flow can blow again" He went platinum once lol He can flow, but he has no label deal, and no money, so there's a better chance Richard Sherman becomes the next president before Young Buck succeeds again.

It's not a G Unit reunion BUT I'll work with Dre and Em. In other words, I'll work with 50 again....lmao!!

Of course he want's to work with Eminem and Dre again. He just wants to get his money flowing. I don't think he wants it for the right reasons. Either way, it won't happen.

GUCCI MANE is the realest rapper and heres why. 1) all other rappers rap about being gangster shooting and killing but they havent done it. 2) Eminem raps about killing he hasnt. 3)Jay z raps in open letter about sending shots he hasnt. 4)Nas raps about how he is a queens thug but he wasn't. 5)Most of the rappers rap about stuff they havent done yet you all support them and say its real rap. 6)When rick ross does it you all claim he is fake and say its fake rap. This shows that hiphop fans are hypocritical and all these real hiphop fan wanna be's are just some unjustified haters whose opinions are just as irrelevent as the swag fag rapper fans. GUCCI MANE KILLED A MAN HE WAS A DRUG DEALER BEFORE RAPPER HE HAS STREET CREDENTIALS HE IS THE ONLY RAPPER THAT RAPS ABOUT FACTS THERE FORE BIG GUWOP IS THE REALEST RAPPER IN THE RAP GAME AND THATS A FACT!

This was a nice read. I've always liked Buck and IMO he's the best out of G-Unit, or shall i say was cause he's not in G-unit anymore? I really digged his raps a whole lot more than any of the others in that group back then. Dude also has a TON of awesome tracks pre-G-unit, in the middle of G-unit and after G-unit. It's all good with me Buck, as long as you don't make any of those horrible tracks like recently..it was called Shit and it truly was shit too. It sounded like some Wacka Flocka, and Buck should not do that nonsense.

Lets be serious here people, out of the original 5 members, 50 had two solid solo albums, Game had two solid solo albums, Buck and Banks had 1, and Yayo album was decent but ass compared to the others. 50 / Game > Buck > Banks > Yayo
    • Anonymous
Buck has gotten better though and put out some dope mixtapes. 50 has gotten worse and is as stale as they come. Game's follow ups after his first 2 albums are also better than 50s, not to mention that Game has the much better sophomore album. @Bulletproof Wallets: If you are really putting Mase about game, you hating. Mase was as mediocre as rappers come.

50/Banks/Yayo invented the modern mixtape and dropped 5+ of them that were top 50 albums of the decade. Game had two ill albums, one of which was obviously assisted greatly by 50. Since? C'mon dog, I got love for him but Game been horrible for years.

Nah not at all. If 2 chains wack ass can make a come back after being completely useless, a platinum selling artist with a real flow can blow again. For sure.
