The Source has named its “The 30 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2014.”

Kendrick Lamar’s second major-label album is the #1 album on The Source’s list. “As the success of his debut album continues to skyrocket almost 16 months after its release, fans as well as media personalities are getting antsy wondering what does Kendrick have coming up next,” The Source’s article says. “In various interviews last year, Kendrick has denied that he was working on a new project, but he revealed in his GQ ‘Rapper of The Year’ cover story that he would enter the studio in January, immediately following theYeezus tour.”

Drake recently said that Kendrick Lamar’s debut album, 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, was particularly noteworthy. “The last great concept album was [Kendrick Lamar’s]good kid, m.A.A.d city—still obviously true to his life but very conceptual,” the Toronto rapper said. “Very specific stories that need to be told. I always say hats off to that album. That album’s incredible, what an undertaking.”

A solo album from OutKast member Andre 3000 is #2 on The Source’s list. “When he does rap, it’s an event,” the story says. “An Andre 3000 guest verse has become as rare as a Jay Electronica single, and the quality-over-quantity certainly works here…Andre 3000 has carefully and meticulously chosen the artists and albums on which he bestows his talent, and the dividends have never not paid off.”

The Source’s list of “The 30 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2014” is as follows.
