Gnarls Barkley has released two full-length albums. Its debut album, St. Elsewhere, was released in 2006 by Downtown/Atlantic and in 2008, the duo released The Odd Couple, which arrived by way of Warner Bros. Records.

In 2010, Cee-Lo spoke about the group during an interview withCNN.com.

“We’ll definitely do one more,” Cee-Lo said at the time. “And that’s so crazy, because we were only supposed to do one. I feel so young. I feel like I can do anything right now. I feel like people are hearing me for the first time and I’ve been around for seventeen years, for God’s sake!”

In 2011, Cee-Lo said that he would likely focus more on the Gnarls Barkley project following the release of a Goodie Mob album.

“Let me clear this up now, that comment was made very casually I’m actually planning on completing a Goodie Mob album first,” he said in an interview with thesource.com. “So I am working on both of them, in a very calm moderate kind of way. You know we absolutely have the creative drive to do Goodie Mob, and we already started Gnarls Barkley about a year go so I’d like to right that statement.”

Also in 2011, Cee-Lo spoke of the likelihood of another Gnarls project.

“We’ll definitely get together sometime very soon to start talks about what we collectively agree is the new direction for Gnarls Barkley,” Cee-Lo said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “We talk on occasion and he’s about as pre-occupied as I am at the moment, doing other projects. But then again, we might not talk at all and just do it when the time is right because we’ve never discussed it before.”

In 2013, Cee-Lo released Age Against The Machine as part of Goodie Mob.
