Daylyt Says SMACK Is Like President Obama
Daylyt continues exchanging words with SMACK/URL.
Earlier this year, Daylyt spoke exclusively to HipHopDX about SMACK/URL's "Summer Madness 3," which ended after a fight took place between Serius Jones and Math Hoffa.
During the interview, Daylyt said SMACK/URL conspired to prevent his battle against Swave Sevah.
SMACK responded to Daylyt, refuting the comments, and disclosing that Daylyt got paid $500 for the night.
Now, in an interview on Vlad TV, Daylyt responded to SMACK.
"There's one thing people gotta know about SMACK: SMACK is like Obama," he said. "A lot of people probably don't understand when I say that at first, but let's take Obama for example. ...He's a frontman, and everybody thinks Obama runs this shit, but he don't! He's just a spokesman. Everybody else writes what the man has to say. That's what SMACK is. SMACK is just just the face of URL, and there's the people behind if that go, 'Yo, SMACK, say this. Yo, SMACK, say that. You look more presentable than us, and we all look like squares. You look like a real nigga, so you appeal to everybody. Got the beard, now you got the chains and stuff, you appeal. So say this.'"
Daylyt continued, "When I looked at the blog, and I looked in SMACK's eyes, and I looked at the tone of his voice, I can tell he didn't want to say half the stuff he was saying. He looked like he was about to cry. He had the look, 'Man, don't make me say this, man. Me and Daylyt cool.'"
Daylyt went on to say that SMACK/URL wanted to lock him in for several battles. "[They said], 'I wanna lock you in for like five more battles.' I'm like, 'Alright...what does that mean?' 'Well, you can't battle... in all types of other stuff.' So this is when I said, 'Well if y'all wanna lock me in, this is when we're talking numbers, because now y'all interfering with my possibilities. So, I said, 'Okay... if I take $1,000 for this battle... I'm gonna need... six grand per battle after this because now I'm not battling on UW... and it was all types of shit that they do to their URL artists. So I was like, if I can't battle on these leagues, then you gotta compensate for my lack of not battling in these other leagues."
Daylyt then stated that URL battlers don't actually have contracts, and that his agreement with URL did not work out. "Once the Summer Madness shit...fell through, that's when I didn't really care about nothin' else. It was over with. I didn't care about the rest of the battles, none of that. I just went full-fledged, 'fuck URL' after that."
