T.I. Enlists Pharrell To Executive Produce His Next Project

T.I. also announces partnership with Columbia Records.

T.I. and his Grand Hustle imprint have partnered with Columbia Records, according to hiphop-n-more.com.

“I’m honored to be partners with such a successful, passionate and creative conglomerate like Columbia Records, who respects and supports the vision of their artist and partners," T.I. said in a statement, as per hiphop-n-more.com. "Nothing but love, respect and appreciation for Doug Morris, Rob Stringer and the entire staff."

In his announcement, T.I. also confirmed that Pharrell is slated to be an executive producer on his upcoming project, tentatively titled Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown, as per hiphop-n-more.com. 

"Also, a special thank you to my big bruh, Skateboard P, for always believing in me and also executive producing my upcoming project," T.I. said. 

Pharrell and T.I. have collaborated on several selections over the years, including Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," a chart-topping single released this year. 

On T.I.'s most recent project, 2012's Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, Pharrell wrote and produced on "Hello," a T.I. cut that also features Cee Lo. 

During a recent interview with Billboard focusing on his upcoming work with Beyonce, Pharrell also spoke about collaborating with T.I. and others.

"Ed Sheeran," Pharrell said. "Usher. I’m going back in with T.I. Beyonce. Jennifer Hudson. Nelly has this really big record named 'Rick James.' That’s my jam. Hans Zimmer and I are scoring The Amazing Spiderman 2." 

Yesterday (November 21), Pharrell released a 24-hour video for his song "Happy."
