Tech N9ne, who released his Therapy Sessions With Ross Robinson EP this month, recently spoke with hotnewhiphop.com about his hopes for working with Eminem.

“I’d like to work with Eminem,” N9ne said during the interview. “Just me and him on a song, ’cause I think he’s one of the dopest rappers out there, and I wanna hear how I sound next to one of the dopest motherfuckers I’ve heard. I’ve worked with some of his homies, Proof, Slaughterhouse, D12, all of ’em, he’s the only one left. Even Yelawolf. I worked with all them mothafuckers. He’s the only one left.”

This echoes similar sentiments Tech N9ne had in 2012.

“I think [Eminem] makes everyone want to come with their A-game,” Tech said in a 2012 interview with Shade 45. “He’s an elite emcee. We are also. That’s one of the qualifications you have to have for Strange Music. I love extreme lyricists. And to me, he’s the extreme lyricist when it comes to wordplay and all of that, emotion and everything. A lot of people just want to hear us on a track to hear who would win. I just want to see how I sound next to who I deem the best rapper.”

Eminem was reportedly set to be on Tech N9ne’s “So Lonely” off All 6’s & 7’s. However, the collaboration did not come to fruition.

This year, Tech N9ne has continued to praise Eminem’s efforts, specifically when he’s been asked about “Rap God.”

“Yes, I heard ‘Rap God,'” Tech N9ne said during a recent interview with nehip-hop.com. “Everybody want to know what I think. I think he’s rapping his ass off. That’s what I think. Somebody said it makes me want to hit the pad harder. I’m like, ‘I always hit the pad hard.’ But that [song], I was smiling, so it was a good thing. I listened to it twice.”

Tech N9ne’s Therapy Sessions With Ross Robinson EP landed at #32 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart in its first week. The project features “Public School,” a song that Tech recently spoke with HipHopDX about.

“It’s a song that’s bitter about my education back then,”Tech N9ne said during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “Now keep in mind that I’m the #1 independent rapper, they say. So I did this with the education I have, business savvy and everything. But I’m just thinking, what would I have been with a bit more information? I could talk to way more people. When I went to France, I couldn’t speak. Motherfuckers had French in school. I didn’t have it. They rather give me an hour and something in gym. I skipped it and fucked. I did, in the hallways, in the little stairwells. I skipped it, every day and fucked. I could have been doing other things, and that’s what ‘Public School’ is about, is me being bitter about some of my teachers, because education is the key to everything, to unlock any door. That’s what I think.”
