"I just met her the day of the VMAs," Kanye West says in the interview, as per MTV. "And I was like, 'Just go, go for it and do what you feel.'...If that was a thought, if you have an idea creatively, from a DONDA perspective, I would just want her to twerk more. That would be my thing...I think they just had her doing too many [things], or she decided or whatever as an artist."
He says Cyrus should have twerked during her entire performance.
"I just think her entire performance should have just been twerking just all the time," West says. "Twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk."
West said that he has simplified his performances with time in the industry.
"Think about my 'Runaway' performance on the MTV VMAs versus my 'Touch the Sky'-slash-'Gold Digger'-slash-'All Falls Down' performance at the Grammys," West says. "The more experienced you get, the more you simplify."
In August, Juicy J celebrated Cyrus' twerking abilities.
"I saw a video and she twerked," Juicy J said during an interview with New York radio station Hot 97 at MTV's Video Music Awards. "Then when I went on stage and did my show in L.A., she came out on stage and showed me what it was. I was like, 'Wow.' Miley Cyrus is the best twerker, hands down. Don't get mad. She knows how to throw that ass. She's the best twerker hands down...She knows how to twerk that ass."
