During a recent interview, Logic spoke about wanting to collaborate with Slim Shady. He also discussed his favorite moments in Eminem’s career.

“My favorite Eminem album is probably The Marshall Mathers LP,” Logic said in an interview with Montreality. “I love how raw The Slim Shady LP was and then obviously there’s Infinite…So that was cool, but excluding that, calling Slim Shady Eminem’s first actual album, I loved it and it was extremely raw, but you can hear a much more polished [Eminem] on The Marshall Mathers LP. He had seen a lot of crazy shit and he experienced a lot of different things. It was much more than just growing up around a trailer park. It was about what happened since his fame.”

Selecting his favorite cuts offThe Marshall Mathers LP, Logic picked two album cuts.

“‘Who Knew,'” Logic said. “That was awesome. It’s so reflective. It’s just the realest shit ever…He was just coming out like, ‘Fuck you. Fuck your mom.’ But he was like, ‘Don’t take it so literal.’ Then, he was like, ‘I never knew I’d get this fuckin’ kid to kill himself.’ I’d say that or ‘Stan.'”

Logic was also asked about what he would want a collaboration with Eminem to sound like.

“It depends,” Logic said. “People change and people grow as artists. I think, no matter what an artist does, you just gotta support it and appreciate it. Sometimes people be like, ‘I miss the old this.’ But that’s where it is. That’s where it lives. They did that already. This is them, whether you like it or not. You loved that, so just support them. Be happy they’re doing what they love.

“I say that to say this,” Logic continued. “The type of collab that I would love is more with Slim Shady. I know in the later years, Em is super hype and yellin on the records, but I love…Actually, my favorite Eminem song is not even an Eminem song. I forget the dude’s name but it’s called ‘Watch Deez.’ [Logic is told the song is by Thirstin Howl III]. Yeah. That’s my favorite one. That’s the type of flow that I would love to go back and forth on a record with Eminem.”

Eminem is readying the follow-up to Logic’s favorite album by the rapper. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is slated to be released November 5. The album’s most recent single, “The Monster” featuring Rihanna, was released today (October 28).
