50 Cent Sentenced To 3 Years Probation
50 Cent has been sentenced to three years probation, 30 days of community service, counseling and a damage fee of more than $7,000 after a disagreement with Daphne Joy, the mother of one of his children.
50 Cent is reportedly not facing jail time after allegedly assaulting Daphne Joy, the mother of one of his children, according to tmz.com.
50 Cent was charged with five criminal counts following a June disagreement with Joy in Toluca Lake, California. He was charged with one count of domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism.
50 also reportedly caused more than $7,000 worth of damage to Joy's property.
In July, 50 Cent's lawyer, Scott Leemon, addressed these charges.
“Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him," the lawyer said in a letter that appeared on CNN. "It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest. We have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney’s Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time.”
50 Cent pled not guilty to the charges in August.
50 Cent has agreed to a deal with prosecutors to have the domestic violence charge dropped, according to tmz.com. He has reportedly agreed to plea no contest to one count of misdemeanor vandalism instead.
As a result, 50 Cent has been sentenced to three years probation and 30 days community service. He has also reportedly agreed to counseling. 50 is also slated to pay Joy more than $7,000 in restitution.
