Parisian watch and accessory company, wize&ope recently announced Lil Wayne as a major shareholder.

According to XXL, the New Orleans native and YMCMB rapper celebrated the big announcement by making an appearance at the wize&ope flagship concept store in Paris, France late last week, before his show at Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy.

Weezy's job will be to familiarize the Persian brand with fans in North America as the partnership is his first ever with an accessory brand. February 2014 is scheduled to be the launch date on American soil.

"My personal style, as well as my everyday lifestyle, has always been about individuality and being open minded,” he said during the event. “I was drawn to wize&ope because of their amazing design, fresh packaging and their support of individuality. I’m excited to bring wize&ope watches stateside and inspire their future collections."

The deal was brokered by Bluerprint Group co-CEOs Cortez Bryant and Gee Roberson, Lil Wayne’s managers, and Efe Ogbeni of Worldpasport.

Lil Wayne has had numerous partnerships and sponsorships in his career. His sponsorships include everyone from Mountain Dew to skateboard clothing brand, Trukfit.
