Bun B wrote the forward for the forthcoming book Houston Rap. Due in stores November 25, the book was written by Lance Scott Walker, features photography from Peter Beste and provides a look at the city’s rap scene through images and interviews. Beste and Walker spent eight years documenting the culture.

“This book defines Houston Hip Hop,” Bun B says in a press release about the book.

Houston Rap includes profiles on several of the city’s most prominent artists, including Bun B, Willie D of the Geto Boys, Paul Wall and Lil’ Troy.

The “Slipcased Exclusive” version of the book, which includes a 7″ vinyl DJ Screw and Fat Pat record, and the “Deluxe Bundle” version of the book, which comes with the record and a Fat Pat DVD, among other items, are only available direct from sinecurebooks.com, which is releasing the book.

These special editions of the book will not be available in stores.

Bun B’s next album, The Epilogue, is set to be released on November 12. Pimp C, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Lil Boosie, Kirko Bangz, Big K.R.I.T., Raekwon, Z-Ro and Devin The Dude are among the guests slated to appear on the collection. The Epilogue is Bun B’s fourth studio album and the final chapter of hisTrill series.
