DMX's Publicist Calls Streaking Incident "A Playful Dare"

DMX is again under fire following the release of a video showing the rapper streaking in a hotel hallway.

According to a statement released by the publicist of rapper DMX, an August 31 incident involving the New York rapper streaking in a Detroit, Michigan hotel prior to performing at a show in the Motor City was nothing more than “a playful dare between friends.”

The incident was caught on video thanks to a security camera placed in one of the hotel’s hallways. In the 30-second video, DMX is seen walking the halls in a pair of boxers. He later enters another hall, takes off his boxers and then proceeds to streak his way past what appears to be a hotel employee.

The statement released on the emcee’s behalf also says that DMX and his companions were unaware of the security camera present in the hotel hallway.

"DMX was a[t] Detroit hotel with his DJ (DJ NonStop) and his road manager (Montana) before his performance with Eve and Lil Kim on August 31st. X and the team were killing time at the hotel before the concert and dared each other to streak in the hallway. No one was aware that security cameras were rolling and it was just a playful dare between friends," read the statement from DMX's publicist.

At this time, it appears that DMX will not face any legal repercussions as a result of his streaking.

Regardless of what may happen regarding the streaking incident, DMX has found himself engulfed in a number of legal woes over the past few years.

Most recently, the Undisputed rapper was arrested several times this year on charges that include driving under the influence and driving without a license. DMX also served seven months at an Arizona State Prison mental health unit from 2010 to 2011 after violating his probation.
